Discuss your Resume, Interview, and Search

A discussion space for job seekers, hiring managers, recruiters, and anyone that has something to say on the subject of getting to that next job.

I invite everyone to share experiences related to the job search, the interview, or resumes.

Twitter

Search Best Practices and hashtags (e.g. #job, #jobseeker).

Twitter is one resource for finding jobs. Give it a try, do a search from your home page on Twitter with the hashtag #job and see the type of tweets you find… (go do that now…)

Impressive – now go back and add a location or skill or both. Please note that as an example you search for #job CO you will get some hits in Colorado and some on the .co in urls. Best to do the same search with different words like Colorado instead of CO or #CO. Your can also mix it up with a city name.

Mostly, it is just sorting through the results and finding what works. As tweets stream through the world at amazing volumes, you may want to save a search that you like so you can easily check results as often as works for you.

Let me and the other readers know what works for you and what to avoid.
